Hi all SCSC Families,

It is with very deep sadness that Rodney and I have to inform you of the passing of Brian Sheppard recently up in NJ. Brian was at the ballpark with Samuel when he suffered a sudden heart attack. All attempts to revive him were unsuccessful. He was 53, and leaves behind his wife Susan, and sons Dominic (7) and Samuel (14).

The Sheppard's joined SCSC in August of 2005, and left us last fall when they moved to NJ to be closer to family. Many of you may remember the fun going away party we did for Samuel on the patio after practice at Pfeiffer. I am sure some of you others will remember especially great conversations with Brian on deck, who was always good for a random fact or joke for the day, and was a wonderful father to his boys as well as a huge supporter of SCSC.

We are signing a card this week in practice for Susan, Samuel and Dominic. Please be sure to add your name to it if possible. I am going to find out if there is a charity or family need for us to send any donations to and will let you know soon. I've included a couple of pics of Brian for memories.
